This proposal notes contamination of local water sources, difficulty with maintenance of existing facilities, and presence of water-borne diseases as major challenges. The team recommends a three-phased approach, first approaching philanthropic sources to invest in locating and funding key locations of water tables and educating surrounding communities of the presence of the water source, creating community-focused solutions for water retrieval combined with revenue generation, and integrating a rental revenue model to fund solutions like wells for long-term supply.
